A little bit of everything..

As you can tell from my lack of posting, things have been a little busy around here between wedding planning, work, and just every day life. So to sum up what I have been doing.... YES YOU GUESSED IT.... here are some pictures!!

& guess what.. the wedding invitations were ALL sent out last week! That allowed for a big sigh of relief!

Random.

I saw three cockroaches tonight.. three.. THREE!! Not only am I disgusted and freaked out by one cockroach - but three? Tonight they must want to keep me up, cockroaches really gross me out. You can bet that tomorrow we will have new (& tons of it) cockroach poison bait thingamajigs placed everywhere tomorrow... I can't handle those things. Gross.

Okay - now you know about the one bad thing about living on a "farm" - bugs! I promise our house is not so dirty too that there are just bugs lurking underneath piled up garbage, the bugs all really just are the result of living on a "farm" and due to the irrigation we have been getting lately.

So what have I - or we- been up to lately? We - Andrew & I - have been busy busy busy... this week we bought our TV, we bought our couch, bought the paint and supplies to paint our apartment, and have started getting the apartment prepped for a fresh coat of paint. On top of that we have both been working, so it is hard to find a time when we both are in the mood to work. One of us is either tired while the other is ready to work or vice versa. Maybe we should just work in shifts? Hmmm. This week has flown by. It has been nice. I am ready for the three day weekend as well - bonus! I am excited for Fireworks. I really want to try out my new camera on Sunday night and cannot wait to see what becomes of it. I still need to learn how to use the dang thing but I love it!

Family & things...

Summer is officially here. It is hot outside! I am not taking summer school this summer (thankfully) so I have been working and spending time with Andrew & family. It has been fun still. We babysat my nephew for a few hours last week and I, of course, took plenty of pictures. Here are a few of my favorites! You get to see how much my nephews LOVE Andrew. About a week and a half ago when I spent the night at my sister's house to babysit, one of the first things my nephews asked me was, "Add-dru?" He was not with me and they HAD noticed!

Most of you probably don't know this about my Mom, but she is a dork and likes to make funny faces when I take pictures of her. For that - I will post them on my blog for all to see!

Cameras and things...

It has been rough lately. I've been having some tough times. I'm actually going to write tonight - I'm thinking maybe that is one of my problems. I've always thought of myself as an "open" person but... I think I am open to an extent. I have been going through a lot it feels like these past few weeks and have had to try and really figure myself out - which sounds like it should be easy... but not for me. I've had to make some tough (I'm using this word a lot) decisions and have dealt with doubting whether or not I have made the correct one. I'm very grateful for the people in my life though - ALL the people - and the support that they give me.

Last night I was able to stay at my sister's house so that I could be there bright and early this morning to babysit. I LOVE my nephews. My 3-year old nephew telling you that he loves you is one thing that always makes me feel better, no matter the circumstances. I was excited to see them because they were excited that I was staying the night. We had fun watching movies... playing.. building a fort.. and yes making sugar cookies. I know it probably seems like I am obsessed with sugar cookies lately (which is odd because they really are not my favorite cookie AT ALL) but I thought the color dough could be really fun for little kids. cookies all ready to put in the oven and have colored shapes for the kids to put on top - genius right? What we did today - we made dinosaur cookies with polka dots! They had a lot of fun decorating the dinosaurs with blue and green polka dots, they looked cute too... but I was not

impressed with the recipe I chose though. Even though they looked cute - I warned my sister and brother in law NOT to eat them. They were not too tasty, even though the dough prior to baking tasted fine.

They cheered me up... even if K soaked me with spit up ALL day today.

I am also getting excited for my future.... well soon to be new camera. KaMaili, I guess you are right... I deal with stress by spending money. I have been long waiting a camera like this though. The Nikon D5000 has my eye and I am planning to order it - either tonight or tomorrow. Isn't it pretty? I can't wait to get it and spend much time playing with it. The first place I want to go and try it out once I have it... is the Mesa Arizona Temple. I can't get enough of the Temple lately and it is one of my favorite places to photograph so it is perfect. I'll have to figure out what I am doing with the camera first but.. thats the plan.

After trying out dying sugar cookie dough, I had to try it again with this cookie cutter set I found at Hobby Lobby. I think the cookies turned out cute and they are delicious. The end product looks better in person than in the picture but you get the idea!!

Grateful -

I am so grateful for the Gospel in my life. I am also very grateful for those in my life who love me and support me. Things have been a little tough for me lately and the people in my life have helped make it so much easier. Not only that - but having the Gospel has been a great help. I cannot imagine my life without the Gospel.. I don't have a clue what I would do without that knowledge and testimony. I am very blessed.

Kite Trial #2

We had a little bit more luck with these kites - but they still were not great. They would fly for a while before taking a nosedive. Well - actually that was just my kite. Andrew's kite was flying fine until it broke. I think the next step is trying to build our own kite!

IT FLIES!!!

However, not for long. I have been wanting a kite to fly with all of the wind we have been having so I bought one. However, something is wrong with the kite, or maybe with us, because it never did anything but spin out of control before crashing to the ground. Luckily, I have new kites to try out :) I'll let you know how it goes!

Words.

I probably am the worst actual "writer" when it comes to blogs - I think my blog consists of pictures more than anything. It is pretty hard though when you have the cutest nephews and niece in the world to take pictures of all the time. For today - you'll have to visit my web album HERE to check out pictures of what has been going on. Things have been really busy with school & work - as always but I have been really stressed which has resulted in constant headaches. I am all ready for school to end; only a few more weeks. So other than school & work.. what have I been doing? Spending lots of time with Andrew, family & friends. I was able to color eggs with my friend Deja (a week after Easter - but never too late) and made some awesome eggs. I can't resist so here I go adding pictures, again... here you will see some of the eggs I made. The second egg is a body of a person - you'll notice it's "crack"... the front of the egg has the front of it's jeans and shirt. The third egg is my Frankenstein egg... me and Deja were thinking of buying the egg dyes on clearance so we could dye eggs all through out the year. We have a lot of fun doing it. We had some really cool dye colors because we mixed tablets together! We are definitely doing that more often.

What else have done lately that would be called fun... last week Andrew & I were able to go bowling with some friends of ours and also with his sister & brother-in-law. It was a lot of fun and I have to say (even though Andrew won't want to admit this) that I actually beat Andrew's score the first game. I only say this because I was pretty jealous the 2nd and half of the 3rd game in which Andrew BEAT me by a lot. It was a lot of fun and I am really glad that everyone was able to go with us. I was impressed by everyone's "mad skills". Thanks for going guys.

Valentine's Day Weekend-

I was able to enjoy a great weekend with my family and friends. It really was a good weekend- besides the stress of an exam today that I did not feel to prepared for. Overall though- it was a good weekend. I had dinner with my mom and best friend, D, on Friday at Macaroni Grill & then later saw Dear John with D. It was a fun night. Saturday was spent with my nephews and family. It was a lot of fun. I love my family so incredibly much. Saturday night was spent studying and Sunday of course was filled with Church and more family time :)

Today I was lucky enough to have the opportunity to see another good friend of mine who lives out of town. It was so good to see her and it was good to be have some time to spend together and talk. I love you J.

Week at a glance-

(this is last week)

Sunday- Church! Our class had sharing time and we focused on the Creation and how because of it we know our Heavenly Father loves us.

Monday- I had work followed by school, as usual. That night we had our Bishop and his family over for dinner. We were celebrating his son's twelfth birthday! It was fun- the boys enjoyed riding the mules and dinner was great. This great night shortly turned to bad for me though... the flu that my nephews, sister, & mom had the week before- caught up with me. I spent the rest of the night and the early next morning sick! I was not feeling at all good and was grateful for the blessing my dad was able to give me. It definitely was another little testimony builder of the power of the Priesthood.

Tuesday- Sick, sick, sick. I spent Tuesday laying around and sleeping on and off. I was not feeling up to going to class so I was able to arrange with my teacher for that class to take my quiz later on that week. It was nice to be able to stay home and try to get feeling better.

Wednesday- Work followed once again by school! I feel this is what I'm always doing.

Thursday- Work following by school... is this starting to sound repetitive? :) My friend, H, got his mission call though so I went over to his house that night to hear where is going. He will be serving in the Kennewick, Washington Mission. I'm so proud of you H.

Friday- I worked. I also went and saw When in Rome with my friend D. This movie is awesome and I definitely would recommend it. It is hilarious.

Saturday- I had a little problem waking up- as I am finding to be a problem lately- so had NO time to get ready before my sister-in-laws baby shower. The baby shower went GREAT though and T got some really cute stuff for J.

After the baby shower, I was able to come home and prepare my lesson for my class today. D also came over and we ran a few errands before spending HOURS baking. We were baking cookies to send off to boys for Valentines Day. We are just hoping they appreciate the effort.

Rocket Time.

My dad went to Wal-Mart last Saturday to buy himself with his hunting license and came home with this, a 7-ft inflatable ROCKET that goes atleast 100 ft in the air! We were all laughing at this.. because this is exactly why he does not EVER go to the store. He thought it looked cool and it was on sale- so he bought it! I was probably more excited than anyone and used this... and my nephews.. as the reason why we had to try it out that day. So we did :) Anyways so here it is. Wasn't the sky so beautiful this day?

Finals.

3 finals down... 2 more to go. I am ready for school to be out for the semester... I just need to get past the last 2 finals-which unfortunately happen to be the hardest of them all, and they're on the same day. Oh joy :) I cannot wait to be done though... just a few more days..

I am thankful for....

Amazing friends- I am so grateful for the friends that I have come to have & love them. They're all so amazing... not sure what I would do without them all.
Beautiful weather- it is this time of the year where Phoenix doesn't seem so bad... :)
Nephews- they have my heart and can always make me smile... I love those three little guys. I cannot wait to have two more nephews and a NIECE join the family :)
Parents- I have amazing parents and cannot imagine my life without them. They help me out so much, I love them and am grateful for all that they do for me!
